This year being retired for three years, we sold our
house and moved from Rockville, MD (Shady Grove Metro) to Knoxville TN where
we have found living to be very good and inexpensive. I have done interpretive
programs at Philmont Scout Ranch on historical geography featuring the life and
times of Kit Carson at his home on the Rayado River. In September, I participated
in the archaeological dig at Phippsburg, ME at the site of the Popham Colony
of 1607 (sister colony of Jamestown) finding many period artifacts. I am continuing
research and writing on my 4th book being a historical geography of Baltimore,
MD clippers during the War of 1812 based on ships logs of privateers commanded
by Tom Boyle. |

I'm currently the technical lead for a team of developers
who produce Nationwide's internal GIS applications. I've been with Na tionwide
ever since I left the university in 2000, and it has been a great place to be.
In fall of 2004, I started the J.D. program at Capital University Law School.
I'm not sure which of my interests -- geography, law, or computers -- will dominate
in the years ahead, but I am enjoying doing something new and am doing rather
well. I'd like to hear from any alumni I might have known back in my Derby Hall
