| Dr. Mei-Po Kwan has been chosen as
a Joan N. Huber Faculty Fellow for 2005. Each year the College
of Social & Behavioral Sciences awards
up to three fellowships to full professors nominated by department
chairs and school directors and chosen from among the nominees
by the Dean and Associate Deans. The fellowships explicitly recognize
first-rate scholarship and are named in honor of Joan Huber, who
was Dean of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences from
1984 to 1992.
All agree that this is a well-deserved recognition for Mei-Po.
She joins Ellen, Jeff and Ed as Geographers recognized with
this valuable prize.
