We are delighted to announce that with the support of the Climate, Water,
and Carbon TIE program, and the enthusiastic support of many
interdisciplinary faculty, two new people will join Ohio State's
substantial cluster of expertise in climate modeling.
Dr. Jialin Lin will join the Department of Geography as an Assistant
Professor in the fall. He is currently Research Scientist at NOAA
ESRL/CIRES Climate Diagnostics Center in Colorado.
Dr. Taotao Qian, currently with the Climate and Global Dynamics Division
National Center for Atmospheric Research Boulder, has also accepted a
research position funded by the Climate, Water, and Carbon program and will
be based in the Byrd Center.
As demonstrated during their interviews both individuals bring strong
additional capabilities to our climate modeling community.
They plan to move to Columbus around September 1st 2007.
