The U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics publishes Occupational Outlook Quarterly, a publication that analyzes specific career fields and provides insight on the education and training necessary for the field, as well as estimated earnings in specific occupations.

Career Voyages, a collaborative effort between the U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Department of Education, is a web site designed to provide information on high growth, in-demand occupations along with the skills and education needed to attain those jobs.
Geospatial technology and GIS field are prominently identified, and the web site contains anticipated growth in the field by occupation and contains brief videos of various careers.
