This project is a service of the Department of Geography at Youngstown State University. It is designed to give geography teachers an opportunity to verify information, check interpretations, and seek answers to questions which they have not been able to answer on their own. Like the Geography Alliance system, the project offers to bring professional and academic geographers into a collegial relationship with K-12 geography teachers.

Here's how the project works. Direct your query in the form of an email message to the YSU Department of Geography staff by clicking on the Ask the Geographer icon above. The mail will be received by Tom Maraffa at YSU and a member of the Department of Geography will answer your question, or direct you to information which will lead you to your own answer, within a couple of days. Questions which are sent over academic breaks will, naturally, take longer to get a response. Even geographers need to rest!
