Lecture series dates for workshops and lectures in
Cincinnati, will be available next Tuesday, Oct. 14th.  We are excited
about the four lectures and WCET promotion provided by NGS and look forward
to teacher's and TC's involvement in the workshops, dinners, and lectures.
Lesson plans available!  Fliers have been mailed.

Congratulations to DIANN BROWN and SUSAN MARKLE for a very successful GIFT
(Geography Information for Future Teachers) workshop held at Bowling Green
University.  60 preservice teachers were in attendance and according to the
evaluations it was very well received.  We have four other regional GIFT
programs in the making and an update on those will be forthcoming.

GEOGRAPHY ACTION is well underway with DWIGHT MILLER leading the way.
Please participate and promote the activities by encouraging your
colleagues and peers to do likewise.  A flier was mailed out to all members
on the mailing list.  If you need posters, brochures, or lesson plans,
email my office with the number you need and I can mail it out to you.
Thank you DWIGHT!

Congratulations to DAN LANGEN  on his new position, and special thanks for
keeping the WEB site up and running.  All OGA information is linked to our
web site for your convenience.

Special thanks to SUSIE GERSCHUTZ  as the Jason Project coordinator for
Ohio.  For more information see the newsletter, email Susie or check out
the NGS website:  www.jasonproject.org

Under the direction of LARRY KOEBLE and a team of teacher consultants, the
