Congratulations to DIANN BROWN and SUSAN MARKLE for a very
successful GIFT
(Geography Information for Future Teachers) workshop held
at Bowling Green
University. 60 preservice teachers were in attendance and
according to the
evaluations it was very well received. We have four other
regional GIFT
programs in the making and an update on those will be forthcoming.
GEOGRAPHY ACTION is well underway with DWIGHT MILLER
leading the way.
Please participate and promote the activities by encouraging
your
colleagues and peers to do likewise. A flier was mailed
out to all members
on the mailing list. If you need posters, brochures, or
lesson plans,
email my office with the number you need and I can mail it out
to you.
Thank you DWIGHT!
Congratulations to DAN LANGEN on his new position, and
